Draft — pending legal reviewVeer ("we", "us") runs a cost-sharing carpool app that connects people travelling the same way. This policy explains what we collect and why. By using Veer you agree to it.
What we collect
- Account & profile: name, email, age, gender, an optional photo and bio.
- Location: your pickup and destination, and approximate location while finding trips — used only to match you with nearby rides.
- Trips & messages: trips you post or join, ride requests, in-app chat, and ratings/reviews.
- Payments: if you pay in-app, card details are handled directly by our payment provider (Stripe). We never store your full card number.
- Device & usage: basic technical data to keep the app working and secure.
How we use it
- To match riders and drivers heading the same way.
- To enable chat, ratings and trust between members.
- To process cost-sharing payments and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To improve the app and keep the community safe.
Sharing
Your name, photo, rating and reviews are visible to other members so they can decide who to ride with. We use trusted providers (Supabase for our database, Stripe for payments) to run the service. We do not sell your personal data.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, request a copy of your data, or delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your personal data, subject to records we must keep for legal or safety reasons.
